IF I WERE A BOY

If i were a boy even just for a day
I'd get the day started
And live it as i wanted

Ignore everything around
And hear no sound
I'd spend my time with who i wanted
And i'd never leave her alone
Cause she never lets me down

If i were a boy
I think i could i try to understand
How it feels to be a girl

I swear i'd be such a man
I'd not do as you do
Cause i'd guess how would she feel
When you disappointed the one you wanted
Cause she's impressed by what you do
And everything you had caused

If i were a boy
I would never use my phone
Tell people it's lost
So they'd think that i was at home

I'd not care their thinking so
And forget about them as i go
Cause i know that it would be painful
Remembering everything they do

If i were a boy
I think i could try to understand
How it feels to be a girl

I swear i'd be such a man
I'd not do as you do
Cause i'd guess how would she feel
When you disappointed the one you wanted
Cause she's impressed by what you do
And everything you had caused

It's a little too late for you to apologize
Say forgive your leaving me alone
Think i'd forget everything you had done
If you thought i would do this for you
You were completely wrong

But you are just a boy
You dont know how i feel
And you don't even try to know
How it feels to be a girl
Someday you wish you were a better man
You don't care about me
You don't guess how it hurts
When you let me down
Cause you never got disappointed
And evrything you had got disappeared

But you're just a boy.

BENEFITS OF SMILING

In this video, there is a man talking about the benefits of smiling. He says that he wanted to be a superhero while he was a child. His dream was to save the world and make people happy. When he grew up,he found a more useful source.Smiling!!
He talks about a research in which the photos of some students examined. How they spend their lives , including how their marriages going to be,can be predicted by looking at their smilings.Smiling can predict longevity of peoples' lives. For instance, beaming smile illustrates nearly 80-year-old life, slight smile means 75-year-old life,no smile leads 72-year-old life.
Smiling express joy and satisfaction.People start smiling even before they are born.It goes on after they are born.Children smile 400 times a day.The happiness a smiling gives equals to the happiness 2000 bars of chocolate gives. It means children feel as if they eat 800000 bars of chocolate a day.Smiling is also as stimulating as receiving 16000 dollars a day.It means children feel as wealthy as people who have 6400000 dollars.
The man in the video talks about the mimics which occur while smiling.Mimics tell if the smiling is fake or real.A real smiling makes one healthier. One can look more confident if he smiles. It decreases the level of stress.
You look and feel good when you smile, other people smile when they see you smile, and they look and feel good. This process makes you happy. In short, there is a relation between your smiling and others' smilings. Then why do people smile rarely?

CULTURAL DIFFERENCES IN SMILING

Smiling is an expression which occurs when somebody flexes the muscles around his/her mouth.
When somebody smiles,it is generally understood that he/she is happy. It reflects positive emotions such as joy, pleasure, etc in most of the countries in the world, including our country.
It is an interesting  fact that there are countries perceiving smiling as an expression which shows sadness, anger, embarrasment, etc. For example,in Japan,it means someone is confused or angry when smiling. In some parts of the Asia,it reflects embarrasment. In Southern Asian cultures,it shows emotional pain or embarrasment.Vietnamese people smiles when someting bad happens.Russian people think it is a suspicious behaviour to smile at a stranger person in public.Americans, unlike what Russians do,smiles whenever and wherever they want. This creates conflicts between these two countries.
Cultures make differences even in terms of smiling.I was shocked when i learned about this for the first time.I had never thougth there would be such a difference. It would be funny to go these countries and experience this :D

PARAPHRASING THE PARAGRAPHS

                                                              PARAGRAPH  1
Our little dog enjoys hunting. She moves into the garden whenever somebody opens the back door for her.She      runs back and forth across the grassy area marrily. Her nose cruises the wet grass for the smells of the creatures such as cats, rabbits, etc.Their smells are too unnoticable for human to detect. She enjoys the smell. She turns round her tail quickly in both clockwise and counter clockwise. She makes these on every occasion together. They are sniffing and spinning. It seems that they actuate her along.

                                                              PARAGRAPH 2

STUDYING ABROAD

The students in video are contented with studying in USA. They think it means much more things than studying. They met new people and knew the culture better by this way. They also had a lot of experiences.
The education system in their own countries are not so good as the one in USA according to them.USA education system is based on creativity, practice and teamwork. It is also easy to communicate with faculty members. This is so supportive for the students. Japanese student talks about the technical knowledge they learn in the school. They do almost no practice. But, in USA ,they have opportunities to practise. Also, they cannot change major in Japan while they can in USA.Chinese student complains about the difficulty of entering a college in China. They need to get high grades for this.It is quite strict system when compared to the one in USA.Netherlander student says that they have an ordinary education without practising or using their creativity in Netherland.
Chinese student learned about studying abroad by agencies.Netherlander student took advices from her environment.Japanese one studied high school abroad. So he got used to this situation.
The students talk about their culture shock.Chinese student mentions the short clothes worn in winter. She also says that they hang up the clothes outside in her hometown instead of using drying machine. But American people use drying machine.Japanese student mentions the difference of communication types between his country and USA.He says that people in Japan are not so outgoing as in USA.They communicate indirectly while American people communicate directly. Also Americans don't get embarressed when they burb.It is something ordinary in USA.
When it comes to financial side of studying abroad, the students says that it depends on the department studied, meal and accommodation. It costs approximately 35000 dollars. They think that it is not too much considering the advantages.
I'd like to study abroad as these students did.I think it would help me develop my language skills. Also I would learn more about the culture of that country. But,I would have difficulties at first.Because it is quite difficult to get accustomed to new place, new people, different life style, meals, etc. However,it is not so important considering the advantages I would get.
